Academic Integrity & Anti-Cheating Policy
Effective date: 15 Dec, 2025
This Academic Integrity & Anti-Cheating Policy ("Policy") explains how EDUSOLVER IO ("we", "our", "Service") approaches academic integrity and the responsible use of AI. By using EDUSOLVER IO, you agree to follow this Policy in addition to our Terms of Service.
EDUSOLVER IO is an AI-powered learning assistant created to help users study more effectively, understand concepts, practice, and learn—not to complete academic work on their behalf.
1. Purpose of the Service
EDUSOLVER IO is designed to:
- Explain academic topics and problems
- Provide practice questions, flashcards, and summaries
- Support learning, revision, and skill development
EDUSOLVER IO does not complete assignments, exams, essays, quizzes, or any graded work for users.
This clarification is required by major payment providers (e.g., Stripe, Paddle, Polar) and reflects how the Service is intended to be used.
2. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- Understanding and following your school's or university's academic integrity rules
- Ensuring that your use of EDUSOLVER IO does not violate those rules
- Submitting only your own original academic work
We do not monitor your activity for cheating, and we do not verify whether your use complies with institutional policies.
Compliance is entirely your responsibility.
3. Prohibited Uses (Not Allowed)
You may not use EDUSOLVER IO to:
- Submit AI-generated answers, essays, or solutions as your own graded work
- Upload restricted or confidential exam materials, quizzes, or tests that you are not permitted to share
- Circumvent academic rules, honor codes, or institutional integrity policies
- Generate responses solely for the purpose of obtaining unearned academic credit
- Engage in plagiarism or rephrase AI output as original work
We do not actively detect such behavior, but we prohibit it and place responsibility on the user.
4. Allowed Uses (Examples)
You may use EDUSOLVER IO for:
- Learning and understanding academic concepts
- Reviewing explanations and step-by-step reasoning
- Generating flashcards, summaries, and practice questions
- Preparing for exams through study—not by submitting restricted materials
- Improving your writing, comprehension, and problem-solving skills
- Exploring ideas, receiving hints, or checking your reasoning
5. Content Uploads
You may upload study materials that you are legally and institutionally allowed to share.
You may not upload:
- Restricted exam papers
- Confidential assessments
- Materials explicitly marked "not for distribution"
We do not verify these materials.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your uploads comply with your institution's rules.
6. Our Monitoring Practices (Transparency)
To clarify how we operate:
- We do not monitor user submissions for cheating.
- We do not evaluate whether content violates your school or university rules.
- We may review anonymized user prompts and outputs solely for product improvement, abuse prevention, and quality assurance, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- We do not manually inspect individual accounts for academic violations.
This Policy exists to set expectations—not to imply that we run active enforcement mechanisms.
7. Institutional Complaints & Content Removal
If an educational institution or rights-holder contacts us regarding restricted or sensitive materials, we will:
- Review the request
- Remove the content if it violates this Policy
- Take additional steps if legally required
Requests may be submitted to: [email protected]
8. No Guarantee of Academic Outcomes
EDUSOLVER IO does not guarantee improved grades or academic performance. The Service is a study aid, not a replacement for individual learning.
9. Violations
If we become aware of clear misuse or repeated violations of this Policy, we may:
- Issue a warning
- Restrict certain features
- Suspend access to the Service
These actions are rare and used only when necessary.
10. Changes to the Policy
We may update this Policy over time. Continued use of EDUSOLVER IO indicates acceptance of any updates.
